Kia ora, I’m Loretta, a Clinical Psychologist working part time (3 days a week) in Whangarei for the Early Intervention for Psychosis team. I originally come from South Africa where I worked for 10 years at a mental health facility, with a specialist focus on treating people with psychosis.  I moved with my partner and children to New Zealand in 2018, spending a year working for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health team at Counties Manukau, before moving to Whangarei in 2019.

The ethos of hope in Early Intervention inspires me, as do the people I work with, including the clients, their whanau and the EIP team.

Afterhours you may find me walking the beaches looking at interesting stones and rocks or going on road trips to see what is around the next bend.
