Kia ora! My name is Rebecca Grattan, I’m a clinical psychologist who is currently working as a lecturer for Victoria University of Wellington. I grew up in Dunedin, completed my studies there and in 2018 I moved to California to complete a postdoctoral research and clinical position at an early psychosis clinic at UC Davis. This position and the wonderful clients I worked with really inspired me to continue to research early psychosis, and how to improve early psychosis care. In particular I am interested in how we can provide supports as early as possible, and cultural differences in early psychosis presentations. As part of my current job I teach in the clinical psychology program and hope to inspire people to work in the early psychosis field.
Outside of work you will likely find me running around after my active 3 year old son, and I also love listening to music, painting, having brunch and getting outdoors.
